Music therapy is a goal driven, evidence based practice in which the process of creating music in a therapeutic relationship helps to promote health and well-being. You do not need to have any musical experience or specific knowledge to participate and benefit from it.
As a music therapist, I am trained in interventions and approaches to help you tap into your potential and heal through creative expression.
Since music therapy does not depend on verbal communication, it can provide a safe place within which to explore and express emotions and be particularly effective for working with children and adolescents.
Our sessions are a collaborative process — using music and the arts to enhance therapy and help integrate the mind, body and brain.
