Speech

There is an overlap between music and speech processing in the brain. In addition, music can light up our brains’ centers for emotions and coordination, making it particularly effective for assisting in speech acquisition, retention and rehabilitation. In working with clients, I develop an individualized program using music therapy techniques, including, but not limited to, Therapeutic Singing, Oral Motor and Respiratory Exercises, and Developmental Speech and Language Training through Music.
